RACGP 6th Edition Reviewed against the RACGP Standards for general practices, 6th edition. Last checked October 2026. Accreditation under the National General Practice Accreditation Scheme currently uses the 5th edition; the 6th edition is available now and practices are encouraged to start using it (ACSQHC). The 6th edition accreditation start date has not yet been announced: RACGP says timing will come from the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. clinic-admin includes AI Policy and Environmental Sustainability templates for it. Spreadsheet last updated 4 months agoWho has an expired CPR? Nobody's sure. Panic emails at 9pm.
✗
Paper log book in the break roomThree weeks missing. Some entries illegible. Found eventually.
✗
"James was going to write that up"Still hasn't happened. That was six weeks ago.
✗
Printed policy with signatures on itSomewhere. Filing cabinet in Clinic 2, maybe.
✗
Meeting minutes in someone's emailNo actions recorded. "We discussed it" doesn't satisfy a surveyor.
✗
Karen did the inductionKaren's on leave. What was on her checklist? Unknown.
✗
The kit gets checked "regularly"No record. "We always check it" is not evidence.
✗
Risk register? We have one... somewhereLast updated before COVID. Two staff have left since then.
